Plants and Climate

Plants:

Some plants on Tahiti include Polynesian Vanilla, Coconut Trees, and Flamingo Flowers.

This is a Vanilla Flower in full Bloom. Vanilla was ordinarily from Central America and was introduced in 1848. This plant is actually a creeper from the orchid family.

Coconut trees was one of the first plants that the first immigrants brought to Tahiti. The coconut are one source of water or what we call now coconut milk.

The Flamingo Flower and some others flowers were used for when you are a mother or grandmother when you live in Tahiti.

Climate:

The temperature on Tahiti ranges between 24°C and 30°C for all the years through.  Rain doesn't come around that much in the cooler season. In the summer their is some rainfall ranging at 317 mm. at most. The humidity, though, ranges to 77.5 %  per year.
